  • Where should I purchase my pattern?
My patterns are currently for sale on Ravelry, Etsy, and on my website. If you'd like to have your pattern stored in your Ravelry library, please purchase the pattern there. Ravelry also works best for any future pattern updates, as you'll automatically receive the update. Due to the on-going accessibility issues with Ravelry, my patterns are also available in the other locations listed above. If you need accommodations for purchasing, please email me at
  • What yarn substitutions do you recommend?
While I typically like to use handdyed yarns in my designs, I understand that these yarns are not always available to everyone. Yarns specified in my patterns are merely a suggestion from the designer, and I always encourage you to choose what works best for your style and budget. For colorwork patterns, I reccomend using wool or a wool blend, in solid or semi-solid colors. If you're unsure of the type of fabric it will provide, swatch it and see if you like it!
  • Where can I find tutorials for your techniques?
All special technqiues listed for a pattern will include both written and video instruction in the pattern. At this time, I use tutorial videos that I have found helpful, because I do not have my own published. While I don't currently have a YouTube site for tutorials, I do have several helpful mini-tutorials on my Instagram Reels at @pnw_knitdesign. Please reach out if there is a technique that is unclear!
  • How do you price your patterns?
Consistent with the industry standard, most of my patterns are between $6-8 USD. Hats: $6 Basic Cowls: $7 Adventuous Cowls: $8* *Adventurous cowls include the cowls such as the "doodle" style patterns, which include multiple ways to make the pattern, additional customization options, and/or alternate yarn weights.
  • Do you sell Gift Cards?
Yes! I sell eGift Cards so you can get your favorite knitter something special! Please note that these gift cards only work on and will not transfer to Etsy or Ravelry. Check out the Pacific Knit Co. Gift cards here.
  • What if the item I want is out of stock?
If you'd like to be notified when the item you're interested in is back in stock, please select "Notify When Available" button on the product listing. Once the item is available again, you'll receive an automatic notification to allow you to purchase if you desire.
  • Do you offer wholesale on your physical products?
Yes! I'm currently accepting wholesale orders on physical products. Please submit your inquiry here.
  • How can I collaborate with you?
I'm always interested in collaborations with indie dyers and love using new yarns for my designs. If you're interested in talking about a future collaboration, please email me at or reach out to me via direct message on Instagram @pnw_knitdesign. • How can I become a test knitter?
I select my test knitters individually per pattern design. When a design is ready, a test knitting call will go out via email and on Instgram. Knitters are encouraged to apply to those that they are interested in, however, due to demand, I usually cannot select all applicants. For more information or to sign up to hear about upcoming test knit calls, click here.
